Scholastic Red Reading Achievement Workshops provide a professional development opportunity for teachers to deepen their knowledge of research-based strategies that increase student achievement in reading. All Red Workshops are tightly aligned to the requirements of No Child Left Behind. They promote effective use of research-based reading strategies. Red Workshops also help districts meet the NCLB goals of providing highly qualified teachers in every classroom.
Each six-hour, onsite workshop can be customized to meet a school's or district's individual needs. Each workshop comes with materials to be used before, during, and after the workshop in order to facilitate ongoing learning. Red Workshops provide teachers with all the materials and resources they need to begin using research-based reading strategies immediately.
