This course focuses on assessing oral fluency; direct instruction in building fluency; research-based instructional techniques in building fluency; and student practice activities for whole-class, small-group, and independent fluency building. It demonstrates how to implement fluency instruction and activities for intermediate and middle-school students into daily classroom routines, match students to great books for fluency practice, and meet special fluency needs. This course is also able to support students who have achieved or exceeded grade-level fluency.
